Our principals bring deep experience in international business and complex transactions.

Christopher Bogart, Managing Director

Prior to founding Glenavy, Christopher Bogart spent a number of years as a senior executive at Time Warner Inc. Most recently, he was the President and CEO of Time Warner Entertainment Ventures, reporting directly to Time Warner's CEO Dick Parsons and playing a leadership role in significant merger, acquisition, joint venture and investment activity across the entire company and particularly in the cable, broadband and emerging technology areas.

Before that, he was the President and CEO of Time Warner Cable Ventures and was one of four senior operating executives at Time Warner Cable, Time Warner's largest business with more than $9 billion in revenues and 30,000 employees.  In that position, he was responsible for all activity relating to new technologies (including broadband, VoIP and advanced television), all investment and M&A activity, and numerous other functions.

Prior to his cable position, he was one of two Executive Vice Presidents of Time Warner Inc., the world's largest media company, and its general counsel.  He managed one of the ten largest legal departments in the world, with more than 350 lawyers on staff, and was responsible for a wide range of corporate and transactional matters, including the AOL/Time Warner merger and Time Warner's purchase of Turner Broadcasting.

He came to Time Warner from Cravath, Swaine & Moore, a New York law firm, where he was a trial lawyer with clients including IBM, GE and Time Warner.

Elizabeth O'Connell, CFA, Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer

Prior to founding Glenavy, Elizabeth O'Connell was a senior investment banker with extensive transactional activity all over the world.  Most recently, she spent several years in equity capital markets at Credit Suisse First Boston, where she focused on technology equity offerings.  

Before that, she spent the bulk of her investment banking career at Salomon Brothers (later Citigroup), with broad experience in M&A and equity activity focused on telecom and media.  She began her finance career in foreign exchange sales at Bank of America. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

 

The principals of Glenavy also founded and served as the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Financial Officer, respectively, of Churchill Ventures Ltd., which raised $110 million in public equity capital in an oversubscribed initial public offering in March 2007 for investments in the media and technology sector.
